Marvin "the Twink" Martian is an obscure webseries done by Mr. Jess (video editing and writing) and Toon.Tone (literally every fucking voice on that damn show). This dinky series has "graphic design is my passion"-ass editing but it's so charming I don't want it any other way. It also has absurdly good voice acting all done by (one again) one fucking dude, some good humor, and is genuinely cute. lemme tell you about it, my marvin twink martian....

Season 1

Season one is shorter in episode length, but is still really fun to watch. Has most of the funniest bits in the webseries, such as the fucking perfect Bugs Bunnny line "And that's how I outgayed all the Steven Universe cast AND reclaimed the f slur in a single day!" The season takes place in a blank void where various shit happens.

Season 2

The quality noticably improves in this season, with the inclusion of whole as backgrounds and fleshed out settings. It also includes some original drawn sprites, particularly in the Marvin's birthday episode.

I will be frank... this season can be harder to sit through because of its longer length. It's great to have more time for those twink hijinks, but how the episodes manage their length could be better. Although you can feel their lenght, not a lot of major events tend to happen. The dinner episode is a good example of this, despite it being such a great episode and I love it.

Extra thoughts and things I like about it

Again. this show can be really cute. Like, Taz and Marvin are genuinely sweet to each other. It's also cute in other ways, such as Marvin's charicterization being very pleasant, which is just amplified with his voice acting. I feel like you can also this webseries is pretty self-indulgent for Mr. Jess which I fucking love. It must be so damn cool to have this voice actor who just acts out all your Looney Tunes gay scenarios. I'm fucking jealous. ALSO OMG MR JESS SOMETIMES USING HIS MARVIN EYELASH EDITS MAKES ME JOYOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seeing the sprites made by (guys name here) being used in the Marvin birthday episode was cool tbh. It just gives me an uncontrollable autistic urge to try to make spirtes for the series. It would be a funny fucking image. I draw Marvin in this specific way, very stylized and all, so the whiplash from official art to my hypothetical sprites would be silly. It would probably be distracting, so alas, it's better to stay as a dream.

Can Foghorn Leghorn appear in the next season. Like can he get a speaking role please if Toon.Tone can impersonate Foghorn. Foghorn's one of my fave Looney Tunes characters and I could imagine the guy having really funny dialogue. Speedy Gonzales could be fun too. Seeing how well Mr. Jess is at writing the characters in this just... super pleasant enjoyable manner, he could execute this really well.

I like the throwbacks to the Tiny Toons Marvin autism episode. This episode is just so fucking bonkers by how absurdly autistic coded Marvin is and how everyone (except Taz) is deadass ableist to this fucking bowling ball baby. Also baby Marvin design. Conclusion

Watch Marvin the Twink Martian. I recommend you specifically do it with a friend or something. It's charming, it's cute, and it's funny lol. And if Mr. Jess sees this uhm... Hi I guess.
